Pooja est née et a grandi à Pune, en Inde. Après une Licence en arts appliqués spécialité Photographie à la Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, elle complète son cursus par un Master en Direction de la Photographie à la Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute à Calcutta. Elle a assisté le célèbre Chef Opérateur indien Kiran Deohans et travaille actuellement en indépendante en tant que Chef Opératrice à Mumbai. Après avoir filmé quelques publicités ainsi que des documentaires, elle est Chef Opératrice du long métrage «Crossing Bridges» - produit en 2012 -, qui a remporté en 2014 le prestigieux Prix du Meilleur Film au 61st National Film Award of India. En 2012, elle a également été sélectionnée pour participer à la prestigieuse Berlinale Talent Campus. Elle est également un membre fondateur de la société de film EASEL qui produit et distribue des films de publicité, de fiction et de documentaire.     Pooja was born and brought up in Pune, India. After a Bachelor's degree in Applied Arts with Photography at the Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, she went on to complete her Master's degree in Cinematography at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute in Kolkata. She has assisted the renowned Indian Cinematographer Mr Kiran Deohans and currently works as freelance cinematographer in Mumbai. After having shot a few commercials as well as documentaries, she shot her first feature film - 'Crossing Bridges' - in 2012-, which won in 2014 the prestigious Award of Best Feature film at the 61st National Film Award of India. She was also selected to attend the prestigious Berlinale Talent Campus in 2012. She is also a founder member of the company EASEL which produces and distributes ad films, film and documentaries.
